Serious Photography on an iPhone
Can a smartphone really be used to create serious photography?
In this inspiring and image-led presentation, Adrian explains why he left DSLR photography behind in favour of the iPhone, and how it became his only camera for creating serious photographic work over the past twelve years.
Using photographs from around the world, including street photography, travel, landscapes, abstracts and intentional camera movement, Adrian demonstrates how the iPhone has enabled him to develop a distinctive photographic style. Along the way he discusses composition, light, colour, timing and visual storytelling, while showing how the unique features of modern smartphone cameras can open creative opportunities that traditional cameras often miss.
Although Adrian works exclusively with the iPhone, the creative principles and photographic techniques he shares are equally relevant to Android users. Whatever smartphone you carry, you'll leave with fresh ideas, renewed inspiration and the confidence to see it as a serious photographic tool capable of producing exceptional images. And if you haven't yet explored smartphone photography, this talk may just persuade you that it's time to give it a go.
